Service Times
“The LORD our God, the LORD is One. Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:4b-7 (HCSB)

Our Vision
The children’s ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church exists to provide all children with a solid spiritual foundation for their future growth and life in Christ. This ministry will focus on learning and applying God’s Word, understanding and accepting Christ’s sacrifice for us, and participating in prayer, praise, and worship to God. With guidance from the Lord, children will be prepared to be strong believers, effective Christian youth, and future church leaders.

Ministry Purposes

Nursery (birth to age 2)
Through constructive use of time spent in the nursery, infants and toddlers will become familiar with hearing about God and His Word. The love of God will become apparent through everyday interactions facilitated by parents and ministry staff.

Preschool (ages 2-5)
Preschool children will learn that God is the Creator of the world and that He loves and cares for them. They will know that Jesus is God’s Son who died for them and rose again. Children will be able to talk about God and the truth of the Bible, learn to offer age-appropriate prayers and worship, and develop relationships with their peers and teachers while learning Biblically appropriate behavior.

Elementary (grades 1-6)
Children in the elementary school ministry will be prepared to make a decision about accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. They will be equipped to share Christ with others, memorize Scripture and the books of the Bible, know the attributes of God and His character, learn about missionaries and mission opportunities, and worship God through singing.

Ministry Staff
Adult teachers and assistants are the most important piece of children’s ministry. By their example, teachers express the love of Christ to children and demonstrate the integrity of leading a Christian life (see Titus 2:7-8). Teachers guide children to discover truths about God and the Bible, preparing them for the day that they will accept Christ. All children’s ministry staff encourage parents to discuss God in the home, extending the impact of this ministry and helping children to deepen their personal knowledge and faith.
